Wed - Female Riders and Males Over 50

We arrived in Congress, Arizona at 15:00 pm EST to begin setting up - but the female riders and males over 50 had a tail wind and some of them had come and gone already -
#364/Dominique Briand-France around 12:31 am EST and
#366/Paul Danhaus-USA around 12:46 pm EST and
#348/Janet Christiansen-USA around 14:58 pm EST and
#367/Daniela Figueiredo Genovesi around 15:18 pm EST
- without being able to take a dip in our traditional swimming pool. We were shaken . . .
Sheila Foraker was our 1st RAAM Official to arrive - and she was ready to leave at 15:22 EST.

Rider #376/Michele Santilhano-S Africa and her crew arrived around 14:36 pm EST and left soon after.

Around 17:24 pm EST, #369 Hermann Bachmann-Swiss came through Congress.
Suzanne Cassini chats with a UK crew member wearing a cricket hat with the RAAM patch - a unique combination!

Rider #378 Ann Wooldridge-UK came through around 17:24 pm EST - she must have enjoyed the cloud cover and slightly cooler weather.

John Watt, Suzanne Cassini and Jim Pettett continue to set up the Time Station with the pool.

Thick clouds began to gather over Congress and Yarnell Hill.

Thank heavens for Alan Travis and his Jeep/trailer combination - the carpeting, canopy and supplies he brought up from Phoenix will make life more comfortable for all of us for the next 5 days!

Here's another UK cricket-hat wearing crew member - just waiting with towel over his shoulders for the water to fill the pool!

At last - cool in the pool!

The shadows begin to lengthen; the air begins to cool . . .

Time to share some delicious strawberry cake with friends!

A desert sunset . . .
